A quiet winter dawn in the French countryside, where a frost-covered field lies beneath a softly glowing sky and the silhouettes of bare trees frame the first light of morning.

The small building on the left is a tiny rural chapel, standing dark against the warm horizon as the landscape gradually emerges from the blue-grey shadows of night. Beyond the trees, layers of mist soften the distant hills, while frost catches the growing light across the field.
This photograph was taken close to our home in rural France and captures one of those fleeting winter moments when the familiar landscape seems briefly transformed by light, frost and stillness.
